'''Rockin' Sidney Simien''' ( April 9, 1938 - February 25, 1998) was an United States R&B, Zydeco, and Soul music musician who began recording in the late 1950s and continued performing until his death.

He grew higher within Lebeau, Louisiana and started his musical career at age Xiv or even Xv swimming harmonica and guitar. His number 1 gig wwhen as backup for his uncle Frank Simien, before long becoming a band leader.

In the late 1950s and early 1960s, Rockin' Sidney recorded a series of R&B singles for the Louisiana labels Fame, Jin and Rod, and was best known for his 1962 hit "No Good Woman".

Within 1965, he and his band "The Dukes" signed with Louisiana-depending Goldman Records. He took to wearing the turban and was known as "Count Rockin Sidney". In the period of time of this period he cut run over L R&B, Soul and Blues singles such as "Something Working Baby" and "Soul Christmas", without much success.

When you took a mid-1970s, while learning to play a accordion, Simien began playing zydeco, the traditional folk of Louisiana. His number 1 zydeco album, Give Me a Good Time Woman was released around 1982 on the Maison de Soul label. 2 years late he cut My Zydeco Shoes Got the Zydeco Blues, which included a track "My Toot Toot". Around spite of Sidney's reported unhappiness by owning the song, it was the hit, selling hundreds to thousands of copies & winning a Grammy.

Although, Sidney was never breaa to repeat the popular profits of "My Toot Toot", he install his have label, Bally Hoo,and then ZBC Records in which he continued performing until his demise.
